40 Tips For A Better Life

These are really very powerful, Implement whenever you can.

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.

3. Record your late night shows and get more sleep.

4. When you wake up in the morning, complete the following statement,
"My purpose is to____ today."

5. Live with the 3 E's - - Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.

6. Watch more movies, play more games and read more books than you did in 2007.

7. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, tai chi, and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.

8. Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.

9. Dream more while you are awake.

10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.

11. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.

12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

13. Clear your clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.

14. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

16. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid.

17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.

18. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

20. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

21. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

22. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

23. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

The Pastor's Ass

The pastor entered his donkey in a race and
It won.
The pastor was so pleased with the donkey
That he entered it in the Race Again, and it won again.


The local paper read:

PASTOR'S ASS OUT FRONT.

The Bishop was so upset with this kind of
Publicity that he ordered the pastor
Not to enter the donkey in another race.


The next day, the local paper headline
Read:

BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S ASS.

This was too much for the bishop, so he
Ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey.

The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a
Nearby convent.

The local paper, hearing of the news, posted
The following headline the next day:

NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.

The bishop fainted.

He informed the nun that she would have to
Get rid of the donkey, she sold it to a farmer for $10.
The next day the paper read:

NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10.

This was too much for the bishop, so he
Ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and
Lead it to the plains where it could run wild.


The next day the headlines read:

NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE.

The bishop was buried the next day.


The moral of the story is . .. .
Being concerned about public opinion can bring
You much grief and misery . . Even shorten your life.


So be yourself and enjoy life.
Stop worrying about everyone else's ass and
You'll be a lot happier and live longer!

My mother -in-law

To friends, relatives and families esp. in PI, I would just like to let you know that Mama Delfa (my MIL) passed away last Thursday after a long battle of cancer. She had breast cancer since 1986 and later around year 2004 the cancer cells had spread to her lungs and right side of her ribs.
She was in the hospital for 15 days with a respirator. She couldn't breathe on her own. Her doctors advise us to make a decision right away to removed her life support due to some of her organs not working anymore. My in-laws had finally decided to have it removed so she won't suffer or be in pain anymore. She was cremated in NY and my father and brother-in-law will take her cremated remains to Dipolog City where she will be buried in her hometown Barcelona.

Latest update on our plans of going home

To my dear friends, family and relatives pasens'ya na mo for not posting regularly here. We just got back from NY to visit my MIL who is very sick. She has been on chemotherapy again right now. And it doesn't look good she lose a lot of weight about 44 lbs. And she's very weak, my FIL had to do everything now, cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry all the house works that includes giving her a bath cutting her nails etc. And he still has to go to work. Her doctor said that her cancel cells had spread to her lungs. That's one of the reasons for her shortness of breathe, dali kaayo siya hangakon gamay lang lihok. So we decided to cancel our plans of going home to PI this coming July because of this. My in-laws said it's not a good idea to be out of the country 'coz of her condition, basin unsa mahitabo niya unya wala mi diri.
